Dyslexic learners of all ages can learn to read and spell using the Susan Barton System, an Orton-Gillingham based program.
The Barton Reading and Spelling System is a multi-sensory and sequential program designed for intensive intervention. It uses the Orton-Gillingham method, which is a structured literacy approach, exactly what dyslexic learners need. Barton was designed for students who struggle to easily and accurately decode words when reading. These students are still slow readers after 2nd grade and continue to struggle with spelling.
